Quality & Results
ChristieCare recognizes the critical importance of not only achieving success through our programs, but also demonstrating successful results through a comprehensive and ongoing evaluation plan.
ChristieCare is one of the first agencies in our field to fully convert our clinical documentation system from paper to an Electronic Health Record System, significantly improving our capacity to provide timely, efficient and effective treatment, as well as our ability to assess quality and measure results.
Our approach to managing information translates directly into better care for our children and families. Treatment decisions for children are based on "real time" information. Families are able to make informed choices about their children. More efficient communication among the entire treatment team leads to a higher quality of care for children.
Many systems are in place to continuously monitor the quality of ChristieCare’s services. Our Quality Improvement Committee meets regularly to establish the vision for performance initiatives, review results and ensure that quality management systems are effective. ChristieCare’s Board of Directors reviews key quality indicators each month, while a Board subcommittee is actively involved in more comprehensive quality oversight.
We believe our work is successful when the children we serve are able to live in a stable home or community setting, remain in school and stay out of trouble. To ensure ChristieCare services are effective based on these general measures of success, a comprehensive evaulation plan is in place to address the following:
- Child/family satisfaction: We value the responses from the children and families we serve, and use this information to improve our treatment.
- Immediate outcomes: We assess outcomes during and immediately following treatment, tracking children where they live, attend school or work, and use this information to measure program effectiveness and success.
- Intermediate outcomes: We track the health and stability of children six months after the completion of their treatment to measure the impact of our programs and ensure our services are fulfilling ChristieCare’s overarching goal to keep children safe and in their communities.
- Process evaluation: We regularly assess how well our program operations align with our treatment philosophy and service delivery expectations.
