Christie Family Solutions
Intensive In-Home Support and Stabilization
This program provides intensive in-home support to children and their families living in communities throughout Oregon, and focuses on creating an environment in which families and their natural supports are the driving force in the identification of needs. Professionals and families work together to ensure that these needs are met through appropriate resources so that ultimately the family is able to thrive with only the natural support of their own family members, friends and community. Particular emphasis is placed on skills development, education and a stable social network for each child. ChristieCare delivers Intensive In-Home Support and Stabilization in partnership with Options Counseling Services of Oregon, Inc.
Treatment Foster Care
For children whose mental health issues prevent them from living in their own homes or in “traditional” foster care, a more intensive level of service known as Treatment Foster Care has been developed. Therapists and skill trainers work closely with children and their foster parents to ensure that therapeutic needs are met. Treatment Foster Care is considered a treatment intervention, not a long-term placement – children will ideally transition back home or into traditional foster care.
This program includes skilled foster parents as a fundamental part of the treatment process, providing them with intensive training and daily clinical support to ensure success with the children in their care. While focusing on skills and education, Treatment Foster Care is also responsive to the level of stress in the foster home and provides foster parents with 24-hour access to professional support and back-up resources. In addition, children expected to return to their families participate in weekly therapy with family members.
